It is a standard south Indian breakfast dish made up of rava. A quick vegan recipe is most preferable in the morning breakfast. You can serve it as plain or with lemon pickle or chutney. Making upma does not take time and can be done in 15-20 min.

Whether you're a newbie, a student, or a bachelor trying to cook for yourself with minimum effort. Upma is a must-try dish for everyone.

There was a time I never liked it During my childhood. But after coming into an adult stage I started living alone far from home and cook for me alone, always this is the best choice for me I can have this in snacks or preferably for a light dinner. I have no idea how when it happened

We can add other vegetables to make it healthier and filling. Veggies also give great crunch and taste to it.

There are few fixed ingredients we have to use to get that authentic south Indian taste in upma recipe.

So talking about the ingredients few spices are a must i.e.- mustard seeds, curry leaves, urad dal, chana dal, and cashew nuts.

Mustard seeds, dals, and curry leave tempering give distinct characteristics flavor that depicts a true south Indian flavor. So I would highly recommend using it in the recipe.

Today I am going to share different types of upma that are easy to make.
