Basically, I am a nonveg lover, I tried a lot of item in all kind of nonveg, available at my doorstep, but prawn has a separate fan base in my life, To be honest, if someone told me to choose all kind of nonveg and prawn, I blindly choose prawn, this taste so yummy, like now m writing this but having the flavor of it. 

If you love seafood then this is your delicious destination, We can say this curry is originated from Bengal, but nowadays in all over the country and even outside of India people loving it. This is rich in Cream and it’s whole spice flavor, ahh just amazing.

Traditionally in Bengal, they eat it with jeera rice( cumin rice) but you can make it semy gravy and have it with naan, kulcha, parantha. This taste so yummy, you should try this recipe for once

I am so excited to share this recipe with you because I made some extra ingredients which my mom used to add it for some awesome fragrance, so let’s started

 

Servings- 2

Preparation time- 20 min

Cook time- 20 min

Total time- 40min

Difficulty level- medium

Ingredients

  1. 500 gm prawns
  2. 150 ml of refined oil
  3. 1 big onion chopped
  4. 2 cinnamon sticks
  5. 4 clove ki
  6. 4 green cardamom
  7. 2 bay leaf
  8. 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  9. 6 green chili
  10. 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  11. Cumin powder
  12. 1 teaspoon sugar
  13. 1 1/2 cup coconut milk
  14. 3 tbs oil
  15. Salt to taste

 

For Marination

  • Salt per taste
  • Turmeric powder 1tsp

 

Method

  • Marinate the prawns in Curcumin(turmeric) and salt for an hour.
  • Saute the prawns in hot oil. Remove from the pan.and place it on a plate
  • In the same pan saute whole garam masala and chopped onions for a minute.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste, sugar, turmeric, red chili powder and cumin powder.
  • Add the sautéed prawns, coconut milk, and salt into the pan.
  • Simmer for 7-8 minutes. In medium flame.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot with your favorite
