Chicken Biriyani |
Basically chicken
biriyani is a savory chicken and rice that include layers of juicy chicken rice
and aromatic that are steamed together.
The name biriyani is thought to be derived from The Persian word "birin" which means “rice”.
It has been
much popular and is considered to be a luxurious treat to enjoy on a special
occasion. Making the traditional authentic dum style Chicken biriyani does take
some time and little expertise
Here
the recipe I’m going to share is a shortcut easy method to make a simple one-pot delicious chicken biriyani in a pressure cooker. It is not a dum biryani, but yet it will surprise you with a good aroma and taste
This chicken biriyani is not that
much oily, spicy, hot as it looks to be in pictures. However, you can customize
your amount of red chilly powder if you do not prefer much spicy
The main ingredients for a good biriyani:
• Basmati rice: There are so many kinds of basmati
rice available in the market, choose the premium quality DAAWAT BIRIYANI BASMATI RICE rice which I choose for
my recipe
• Masala(spices): Good quality of whole spices and
spices powder are the main key to get great
aromas, so choose a great quality readymade Garam masala or biriyani masala
• Chicken: we usually use the cut piece of a whole chicken, to make chicken biriyani, however, the breast piece finds out not marinated well with yogurt. If you want
soft, tender and tasty pieces of chicken in your biriyani, just use the bone
part of chicken it will help the dish to turn out more flavorful
• Ghee: the authentic biriyani is made using
ghee. Though this recipe is not following the traditional method, you can also make it using oil, but ghee gives the unique
aroma to the dish.
